A raw natural aegirine crystal sourced from Mount Molosa in the Zomba region of Malawi. Aegirine, also known as Acmite was first discovered in Norway and is a rare crystal named after Aegir, the God of the sea in Norse mythology. He was worshipped by sailors who often had very dangerous seafaring trips, offerings were made to the God to encourage safe passage. As such, this crystal often resonates with water signs such as Cancer, Pisces and Scorpio, those who are strongly drawn to the sea and those who have an ancestral connection to the Scandinavian countries. Aegirine is used for powerful clearing, grounding and protection. It is a crystal that is often confused with black tourmaline which is also used for protection, however aegirine is much rarer and more powerful. It can be distinguished by its characteristic dark green colour that often looks black. Aegirine is believed to be very powerful for cleansing the aura, removing negative attachments and protecting against psychic attack.
