Collection: British Fluorite

British fluorite crystal is regarded as some of most highly prized fluorite in the world. This rare type of fluorite forms in stunning natural cubic structures and is known to glow under UV light due to the presence of certain minerals within the crystal. Weardale fluorite is mined in County Durham, England from the Lady Annabella Mine and Rogerley Mines located near the village of Weardale. This mineral-rich area to the north of the UK contains UK fluorite pockets within the rock and has been mined since the 1960’s for its beautiful fluorite specimens in green, purple, lilac or yellow colors. This area has a limited number of fluorite pockets and some mines have now been closed, making the current specimens on the market today, even more valuable. British fluorite crystal is highly collectable and sought after by crystal collectors in the UK, USA and worldwide.
